Alex Pharma - High-Purity Heat Exchangers for PW Systems

Two sanitary plate heat exchangers with a capacity of 15 m³/h each were installed to control water temperature in the purified water and related utility systems.

The heat exchangers are manufactured from 316L stainless steel with a fully sanitary design, eliminating dead legs and minimizing the risk of microbial contamination. They are equipped with hygienic valves and connections to ensure reliable operation and easy maintenance.

Their role is to provide operational flexibility by enabling:

• Cooling: to supply purified water at room temperature for specific processes.

• Heating: to support hot water sanitization or maintain the distribution loop in hot recirculation mode (70–80°C).

This setup ensures stable temperature control and consistent water quality, fulfilling the strict requirements of pharmaceutical applications.
